Dr. Tom Hawkins Went Home Today!

Dear LMI Family,

A dear personal friend and a spiritual advisor to our ministry went home to the Lord today! Please keep Diane (Tom’s wife), and their family in your prayers. I am including an email from Diane to read.

Dear Friends of RCM,

My dear beloved husband has been released this afternoon to His heavenly home and glorious welcome by our Savior, whom he now sees face to face. My heart is obviously heavy with deep, deep grief and loss in spite of the perfect peace God gave me yesterday afternoon and the miraculous peace that is totally without understanding that I woke up with this morning. It hardly seems possible as things moved so, so fast, but I thank God for sparing both him and me from prolonged suffering. God’s presence and preparation of many aspects leading up to this has been very evident. I know He will hold me and love me and walk with me through these coming days and weeks and months and forever.

As the family is all here from a distance, we are planning a Memorial Service on Monday. I trust that many will be able to come to celebrate God’s work through Tom’s life and all he has meant to so many people.

  1. Dear Diane,

My heart was deeply moved when I heard Tom had gone to be with the Lord. I am deeply grieved at your loss and pray God’s comfort for you and loved ones. I cried for my own loss as well; Tom was a drink of fresh water for a community so deeply misunderstood it was left desolate and dry. See you at the wedding supper of the Lamb.

    Sincerely,
    Gina Adams

  2. Diane,
I have been listening to your heart on the Restoring the Shattered training series. Now, I feel I know you for the first time. When Tom died, I just pretended I was o’kay. Now that I am able, I want to reach out and send my love and heartfelt prayers. You are such a woman of God! Tom would be smiling with joy with how you have steped up with hope for the shattered. As one of them, I thank you and am blessed. Love in Yeshua, gail
