Dear LMI Family,
It’s great to be back in beautiful Hawaii! But the one thing that I miss is the colder weather which makes for a more Christmasy Christmas. Japan, Hong Kong, and Macau were awesome! If you ever visit Japan, don’t forget to eat Otoro sushi and Wagyui beef; Hong Kong is Peking Duck, Dim Sum, and Shanghi dumplings; and in Macau, the Egg Tart and Pork chop buns, and oh, the pigeon wasn’t too bad! Over the years of traveling, it has been the locals who have taught me about their culture and where the best deals and eating places can be found.
A connoisseur is a person who is knowledgeable of the fine arts or is an expert in judging on matters of taste. I am far from that breed of people. In the area of worship, Ray Hughes is connoisseur and among the best in the world. Ray is a regular speaker at Bethel Church’s annual School of Worship in Redding California. Did you know Ray was a former comedian? He was! His presentation of worship is both informative and fun!!! Did you know that Hollywood consulted Ray for the movie August Rush? They did!
Brian and Jenn Johnson shared with me that Ray Hughes is the most influencial person who affected their style of worship way. Brain and Jenn are the worship pastors at Bethel Church and oversees Bethel Music. If you loved Dano McCollam, you won’t want to miss Ray Hughes. Get ready to get your worship wineskin stretched even more!
No Santa Claus is not coming to town! But someone better, Ray Hughes! Ray Hughes will be our next speaker at LMI’s School of Worship on January 13-15, 2011.
What a way to lay a foundation for the New Year! What an awesome Christmas gift for a friend who already has everything or to avoid the Christmas rush!!!
Mele Kalikimaka ame Hauoli Makahiki Hou!
